Sharlene McCollum

Sharlene R. McCollum, 75, of Morriston, Arkansas passed from this walk of life on Thursday, July 29, 2021, in Mountain Home, Arkansas.

She was born on September 19, 1945, in Morriston, Arkansas, daughter of the late Lea Parret Jr. and Winnie (Oldfield) Parret. She spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and homemaker. She was united in marriage to the late Harold Ray McCollum in 1962. Sharlene was of the Church of Christ faith. She cleaned house every day, loved to cook, attend ballgames and ducks. Sharlene loved her family very much and always thought about her kids.

Sharlene is survived by her sons, David McCollum of Bakersfield, Missouri and Michael McCollum (Holly) of Ozark, Missouri; daughter, Rachel Miller (Chris) of Morriston, Arkansas; grandchildren, Chelsea, Garrett, Wyatt, Waylon, Alley, Jessica, Samantha, Richard, Jacob, Joseph, Lacey, and Hunter and great grandchildren, Landon, Shelby, Layne, Brynly, Lily, and Temperance.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents and one brother, Ronnie Parret.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, August 3, 2021, from 6:00-8:00 PM in the Doty Family Funeral Chapel in Salem, Arkansas.
