Berniece Bishop

Berniece Bishop, daughter of the late Bert Bishop and Erma Martin Bishop, was born August 2, 1928 in Ash Flat, Arkansas. She passed away on Friday, May 26, 2017 at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 88 years, 9 months and 24 days.

She had one daughter, Sandra Francis Martin Clayton. Berniece spent her life as a wonderful and loving mother, grandmother and sister. Her working years were spent as the Fulton County Librarian for 30 years. She was a member of Salem First Baptist Church.  

Survivors include her daughter, Sandra Clayton of Salem; grandchildren, Holly Pate and husband Mark of Salem and Amber Qualls and husband Chris of Salem; great grandchildren, Bethany Smart and husband Stu, Emily Pate, Macy Qualls and Brooklyn Qualls; great-great granddaughter, Hattie Beth Smart; brother, Jerry Bishop and wife Linda and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bert and Erma Bishop.

Graveside services will be Sunday, May 28, 2017 beginning at 3:00 PM with Bro. John Hodges officiating at Saddle Cemetery in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas.

Pallbearers include: Mark Pate, Chris Qualls, Stu Smart, Marty Bishop, Randy Bishop and Tim Utley

Honorary Pallbearers include: Gina Utley, Grantland Utley, Reece Utley, Adam Bishop and Ella Bishop.
