Brian Lee Thorson, 71, of Glencoe, Arkansas, departed this life on Friday, December 27, 2024, in Mountain Home, Arkansas.
He was born on July 19, 1953, in Dundee, Illinois, to Virgil and Ella Thorson. During his working years, Brian worked at StorageTek for many years and retired from CGI in 2016. He served our country in the United States Army National Guard. In his younger years, Brian enjoyed coaching softball for his daughter’s team. Brian enjoyed hunting, traveling, playing cards, going out to eat, watching birds, fishing in his pond and Kansas City Chiefs. He loved animals but his cats and dogs were extra special to him. Brian loved to be with his family and friends. He was of the Lutheran faith. He remembered his farm days throughout his life, shared with his brothers.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving fiancé, Kay Myers of Glencoe, Arkansas; his sons, Justin Thorson (Stefanie) of Hoskessin, Delaware and Wade Thorson (Jake) of London, Ohio; his daughter, Courtney Parham (Chris) of Orlando, Florida; his granddaughter, grandchildren, Charleigh Parham of Orlando, Florida, brothers, Ron Thorson (Margie) of Marengo, Illinois, Randy Thorson (Sue) of Maryland, Virgil Thorson, Jr. (Marlys) of Fort Wayne, Indiana and Richard Thorson (Yvonne) of Genoa, Illinois; sister, Patricia Cullison and other loving family, Wayne Blount (Wisper) of Paragould, Arkansas, Heather Lawallen (Joey) of Paragould, Arkansas, Gabby Blount, Brooksie Blount, Lincoln Lawallen, Gabe Lawallen, Attica Lawallen and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Bruce Thorson.
A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, January 4, 2025, beginning at 1:00 PM at Doty Family Funeral Service Chapel in Salem, Arkansas, with Bro. Jerry Barnes officiating.
