Carmon Ray Sanders

Carmon Ray Sanders, 100, of Bexar, Arkansas, passed from this walk of life, Saturday, March 1, 2025, in Salem, Arkansas.

He was born in Elizabeth, Arkansas, on October 25, 1924, son of the late Raymond Nickless and Sallie (Hodges) Sanders. Carmon was united in marriage to the late Vonda Sears on October 9, 1948, in Viola, Arkansas, and from this union two children were born. Carmon spent his working years and beyond as a farmer. He raised beef cattle and for 28 years he was a dairy farmer with Jersey cows. Carmon was the best livestock man, and his motto was to keep it simple. He always had a vegetable garden and would give away his harvest. Carmon enjoyed hunting, especially fox hunting. He attended Byron Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Carmon taught Sunday School for many years in three different churches and was an elder in two churches until his health started to fail. He loved his family very much and spending time with them always brought him joy. Carmon lived a long, full life. Even with his health starting to fail, he took no medicine.

Carmon is survived by his daughter, Linda Sue Bicker and husband Jim of Bexar, Arkansas; daughter in law, Judy Sanders of Franklin, Arkansas; grandchildren, Jeremy Bicker and wife Dawn of Conway, Arkansas, Jed Bicker and wife Sara of Conway, Arkansas, Nathan Sanders and wife Courtney of Franklin, Arkansas and Alissa Foyt and husband Doug of Wiseman, Arkansas; great grandchildren, Addison Bicker, Andersen Bicker, Eleanor Bicker, Lilly Felton (Zeb), Dayka Lock, Xander Lock, Izzy Foyt and Fisher Foyt and great great granddaughter, Cora McCandlis.
