Claudine Coggins, of Agnos, daughter of the late Marion Virgil Gilbreath and Eliza Martin Gilbreath, was born June 22, 1922 in Peace Valley, Arkansas. She died March 29, 2015 at White River Medical Center in Batesville at the age of 92 years 9 months and 7 days.
She was united in marriage to Alfred Coggins July 13, 1939 in Sharp County, AR. To this union five children were born. She was employed by Tri-County Shirt Factory for many years. She was a member of the Agnos Church of Christ.
Survivors include her children: Kenneth L. Coggins and wife Sandra K. of Warsaw, MO; Jack G. Coggins and wife Sheila N. of Oxford; and Devine Hammond of Mountain Home; grandchildren: Jimmy Coggins, Gwen Coggins, Rodney Coggins, Jackie Coggins Jr., Connie Williams, Carol Reno, Christina Lynn, Steve Hammond, Shelah Rook, Eddie Coggins and Randy Coggins; 23 great-grandchildren; 25 great-great grandchildren; one sister, Helen Benton of Heart; one brother, Ray Gilbreath of Peace Valley; nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, Duane Coggins, one daughter, Sharon K. Coggins; her siblings: Floyd Gilbreath, Margie Gill, Russell Gilbreath, Virgie Mae Gill, Icaphene Martin, Virgil Gilbreath, Gerald Gilbreath and Bertis Gilbreath and her father and mother.
Services are Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at 10 am at the Agnos Church of Christ with burial to follow in Agnos Cemetery, under the direction of Cox-Blevins Funeral Home of Salem. Visitation is Tuesday from 6 to 8 pm at Cox-Blevins Chapel.
Pallbearers are: Jimmy Coggins, Rodney Coggins, Eddie Coggins, Steve Hammond, Wesley Ellison and Jackie Coggins; Honorary pallbearers are Randy Coggins, Wade Lynn, Alfred Grice and Darrell Ball.
