Colleen Loyd

Colleen Loyd, 68, of Salem, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2019, at her home in Salem.

She was born in Benton, Kentucky on February 18, 1951, daughter of Vonda (Robbins) Cooper and the late Clyde Cooper. Colleen spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was united in marriage to Gary Loyd in Salem on April 19, 2002. Colleen loved spending time with her family, gardening-especially flowers, cooking, crafting and shopping with Gary.

Colleen is survived by her husband, Gary Loyd of Salem, Arkansas; mother, Vonda Cooper of Salem, Arkansas; brother, Dennis Cooper of Athens, Tennessee; children, Richard Benson and wife Jaclyn of Thayer, Missouri, Wanda Jones and husband Matt of West Plains, Missouri, Lisa Perry and husband Canaan of Marthasville, Missouri, Louise Jones and husband Justin of Moody, Missouri, Pamela Owens and husband Scott of West Plains, Missouri, Aaron Loyd and wife Heather of Mountain Home, Arkansas and Nicole Loyd Leverton and husband James of Gassville, Arkansas; 17 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lorraine Benson; father, Clyde Cooper and sister, Roberta Massey.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at Doty Family Funeral Service Chapel in Salem, Arkansas from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM. There will be a private service for friends and family at the family home.
