Daisy “Dolly” Thomson, 82, of Salem, Arkansas, passed from this walk of life on Thursday, March 6, 2025, in Springfield, Missouri.
She was born in Waterloo, Iowa, on June 11, 1942, daughter of the late Ora and Gladys (Miller) Brant. She was united in marriage to the late Raymond Thomson on November 21,1961, in Redwood, City, California. During her working years, Dolly worked at Walmart and retired from there. She always enjoyed staying busy, going to the senior center to play bingo and traveling with Amanda. Dolly loved when it was Christmas time because her and the grandkids would go see the lights and bake Christmas cookies. She loved her family and spending time with her kids and grandkids meant the world to her. Dolly was a member of Salem First Baptist Church in Salem, Arkansas, where she served for many years and enjoyed many trips with the senior adults.
Dolly is survived by her daughter, Dana Morrison of Salem, Arkansas; grandchildren, Tammi Hall (Luke Fish) of Salem, Arkansas, Amanda Purcell (Adam) of Salem, Arkansas and Zachary Thomson of Texas; great grandchildren, Hunter Hall, Emily Hall, Katie Fish, Danielle Vanoven, Dustin Vanoven, and Declan Purcell and brother, John Brant (Marylyn) of Utah.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; grandson; Timothy Morrison; several brothers; and sisters.
Pallbearers include: Luke Fish, Zachary Thomson, William Hollaway, Ralph Moore and Tom Doty.
Funeral Services will be held, Sunday, March 9, 2025, at Doty Family Funeral Service in Salem, Arkansas, beginning at 2:00 PM with Bro. Tom Doty officiating. Interment will follow at State Line Cemetery in Moko, Arkansas.
