Dorothy D. Wieland, 83, of Salem, Arkansas, passed from this walk of life to her Heavenly home on Friday, April 28, 2023, at her daughter's home in Plymouth, Minnesota.
She was born on July 4, 1939, in Mount Morris, Michigan, to the late Lawrence and Beulah (Tottingham) Taber. She was united in marriage to the late Raymond Wieland on May 28, 1959, in Illinois. During her working years, Dorothy worked in a glass factory. Dorothy was an instrumental voice and help in the start of Praise & Worship Fellowship in Salem, Arkansas. She was a hard worker and was always lending a helping hand at any opportunity. Dorothy enjoyed camping and would go on many camping trips throughout the year with her camping group, Christian Campers. She was part of the Young at Heart group and enjoyed the lunches and outings. Dorothy’s life was first and foremost, Christ, followed by her family and church family and friends.
Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Kellie Wieland-Bohlig and husband Stony and Connie Garcia and husband Marcus; brothers, Lawrence (Pete) Taber and Orten Taber; granddaughter, Lauren Dekanick and husband Phillip and three great grandchildren, Lucie, Milo and Piper.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Wieland and parents.
A gathering of family and friends begins at 6:00 PM on Monday, June 26, 2023, with a memorial service beginning at 7:00 PM at Salem Praise & Worship Fellowship, 682 Highway 62 West, Salem, Arkansas, Skyvue Center.
