James Lee Boverhof

James “Jimmy” Lee Boverhof, 53, of Oxford, Arkansas, departed this walk of life on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at his home. 

He was born on November 30, 1971, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to Audrey Boverhof. Jimmy was united in marriage to Jessica Strickland on May 15, 1998, in Salem, Arkansas. He worked as a carpenter and pipefitter and belonged to the Carpenters Union in Louisiana. Jimmy enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking. He loved all animals, especially cats. Jimmy most loved his family and spending time with them was his favorite. He was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church in Ash Flat, Arkansas. 

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Jessica Boverhof of Oxford, Arkansas; mother, Audrey Watts (Jerry Andrews); son, Alex Johnson (Kristin) of Oxford, Arkansas; daughters, Kailee Boverhof (Nick Felton) of Oxford, Arkansas, Braileigh Boverhof of Livingston, Louisiana and Lindsey Mahoney of Illinois; grandchildren, Bryer, Kelsie, James, Ryleigh, Harper and Maicey; mother in law, Teresa Strickland; aunt and uncle, Lawrence and Helen Savell and many other family members in the Oxford area. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Jewell Watts; father in law, James Strickland and uncle, Billy Boverhof.

Pallbearers include: James Sanders, Hunter Taylor, BJ Hinds, Jonah Savell, Nick Felton, Alex Johnson and Logan Jennings

Honorary Pallbearers include: Kailee Boverhof, Lawrence Savell and Tran Burrow

Services will be on Saturday, February 22, 2025, beginning at 2:00 PM at Doty Family Funeral Service Chapel in Salem, Arkansas. 

Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 1:00 PM.
