Joanne Elsie Bridger, 88, of Elizabeth, Arkansas, passed from this walk of life on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, in Thayer, Missouri.

She was born on May 23, 1935, in Santa Rosa, California, the daughter of the late James and Alpharetta McMaster. During her working years, Joanne was a nurse’s aide. Joanne’s late husband spent his life in the Navy during the Korean and Vietnam War and she took care of their children always making sure Robert played little league baseball and that he and his sister, Janet were taken care of. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, fishing, watching the St. Louis Cardinals and loved dogs. Joanne was a member of Highland Hills Baptist Church in Highland, Arkansas.

Joanne is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Deborah Bridger of Elizabeth, Arkansas; daughter, Janet Cronin of Thayer, Missouri; brother, Orville McMaster of Idaho; grandchildren, Justin Bridger, Christopher Cronin and Shaun Cronin and three great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sisters, Barbara Johnson and Alpharetta Coolbaugh and brothers, James McMaster and David McMaster.

Graveside Services will be Thursday, October 5, 2023, beginning at 3:00 PM at Oaklawn Cemetery in Highland, Arkansas, with Bro. Tom Doty officiating.
