Joel Leon Lundry, Jr., 57, of Salem, departed this life on October 17, 2020 in Salem. He was born on November 5, 1962 in West Plains, Missouri to Joel Leon Lundry, Sr. and Martha Mae Hollaway Lundry.
Leon married Michelle Lowder in Michigan City, Indiana on August 8, 1986. He and Michelle owned and operated Leon’s Automotive in Salem.
Throughout his lifetime Leon loved to work on cars, especially the older models. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved his family dearly.
He is survived by his wife, Michelle, of the home; son, Joel “Lee” Lundry, III (Annie) of Viola; daughters, Hanne Pelletier, (Dave), of Jonesboro, Tonya “Nicki” Lundry, of Salem, and Kaitlyn Lundry of Salem; sister, Virginia Cunningham (Garry) of Camp; grandchildren, Emile, Oscar, Oliver, Landon, Conner, Jay, Remington, Natalie, Ryder, Rifle, and Zane; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a host of friends.
Leon is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Joseph Lundry, and a sister, Marthanna Collins.
A Funeral service will be Wednesday, October 21, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. at the Doty Family Funeral Chapel in Salem with Bro. Tom Doty officiating.
Burial will follow the service in the Fairview Cemetery in Salem.
A Visitation Service will be Tuesday, October 20, 2020, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Doty Family Chapel.
Serving as pallbearers will be William Holloway, John Cawvey, Michael Harlow, Kenny Welch, Lee Broyles, and Terry Smith.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Eric Reynolds and Dale Ormsbee
We are complying with the Arkansas Department of Health guidelines and limiting indoor funeral and visitation attendance to 50 people at one time. Masks will be required before entering the building.
