Lillie Helen Barber White was born January 12, 1930 in Milfaye, OK. She died March 4, 2016 at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, at the age of 86 years 1 month and 21 days.

She was united in marriage to M.L. White Jr. on July 3, 1954 in Viola, AR. To this union, five children were born. She was a devout Christian and a member of Enterprise Baptist Church for 46 years. The biggest part of her life was spent as a mother and homemaker. After her children were raised, she was employed by Fulton County Nursing Home as a long term caregiver. She was always very family oriented. Her family was everything to her and she was happiest when she was taking care of her family.

Survivors include her children: Ricky Painter and wife, Debbie of Viola; Kathy Mead of Portales, New Mexico; Gary White and wife Cindy of Havre, Montana; Penny Hannah and husband Pete of Austin, Arkansas and Timothy White and wife Melissa of Viola; 12 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren; her siblings: J.D. Barber and wife Louise of Lees Summitt, Missouri; Pat Cameron of Lees Summitt, Missouri; Duane Barber and wife Sue of Viola; Junior Barber and wife Sharon of Raymore, Missouri; Author Barber and wife Jane of Wiseman and Wanda Cotter and husband Harold of Viola; nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, three sisters, Maria Tackett, Fanny Painter, and Essie Mabes; one brother, Lloyd Barber and her father and mother.

Services are Friday March 11, 2016 at Enterprise Baptist Church, in Viola beginning at 2 pm. Burial to follow at Viola Cemetery under the direction of Cox-Blevins Funeral Home of Salem. Visitation is Thursday from 6 to 8 pm at Cox-Blevins Chapel. Pallbearers are Andrew Painter, Kevin Painter, J.D. Mead, Sean White, Braden White, Steve Boles. Honorary pallbearer, Duane Barber.
