Mary G. Mackey

Mary G. Mackey, 95, of Viola, Arkansas passed away January 11, 2019 at her home.

She was born on July 6, 1923 in Roscoe, Missouri, daughter of the late Elmer and Cleda (Lingle) Wait. Mary was united in marriage to the late William Thomas Mackey, Sr. in Missouri. During her working years, she worked as a cook for various restaurants in Arkansas, California and Missouri. She loved cooking and cooked pies and candy up until this past summer.

Mary is survived by her children, Vica Comstock of Viola, Arkansas and Kathy Hooks of Texas and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Mackey, Sr.; daughter, Lula Mae Garcia; son, William Thomas Mackey, Jr. and all her siblings.

Private family services will be held.
