Max Otho Haynes

Max Otho Haynes, 74, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, December 21, 2019, at his home in Mountain Home.

He was born in Viola, Arkansas on May 25, 1945, son of the late Jasper Newton and Clara Ida (Zimmer) Haynes. Max spent his life as a loving son, brother, uncle and friend. He served our country in the United States Army and during his working years he worked at the Shirt Factory and then retired from the Eaton Corporation in Mountain Home. Max loved to read and do crafts; he especially loved painting birdhouses.

Max is survived by his sisters, Lillie Roberts of Archie, Missouri, Emma Skiba of West Plains, Missouri and Betty Kellum of Mountain Home, Arkansas and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jasper and Clara Haynes; sister, Mary Chapman and brothers, Gorman Haynes, Adron Haynes, Ray Haynes and William Haynes.

Pallbearers include: Olaf Dean Davis and John McKee

Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 24, 2019 beginning at 11:00 AM with Bro. John Hodges officiating at Doty Family Funeral Service Chapel in Salem, Arkansas. Interment will follow at Elizabeth Cemetery in Elizabeth, Arkansas. Visitation will be prior to funeral service beginning at 10:00 AM.
