Mildred Nadine Cochran, 94, of Salem, Arkansas, passed away, Friday, June 23, 2017 at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Arkansas.
She was born in Elizabeth, Arkansas on May 26, 1923, daughter of the late Eva Mae (Hickman) and Floyd Tanner. Nadine spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, aunt and friend to many and will be greatly missed. She was united in marriage to the late John David “JD” Cochran on August 28, 1942 in Jot-Em-Down, Arkansas. Nadine was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Union, Arkansas.
Nadine was a very loving and sweet lady. She loved to cook for her family and friends and share her food with them. Nadine also loved gardening and sharing her harvest with everyone. She also loved playing dominos and bingo at the nursing home. Nadine loved to spoil all her nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her two sister in laws, Luella Tanner of Salem, Arkansas and Mary Lou Tanner of Oxford, Arkansas and her nieces and nephews.
Nadine was preceded in death by her husband, JD Cochran; parents, Floyd and Eva Tanner; brothers, Marcell Tanner and Melvin Tanner and sisters, Modine Singleton and Novellene Wray.
Pallbearers include: Douglas Tanner, Dwayne Wray, Jerry Singleton, Ken Rogers, Robert Tanner and Bruce Tanner
Funeral services will be Sunday, June 25, 2017 beginning at 3:00 PM with Bro. John Hodges officiating at Doty Family Funeral Service Chapel in Salem, Arkansas. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery in Union, Arkansas. Visitation will be Sunday, June 25, 2017 from 1:00 PM until service time at Doty Family Funeral Service Chapel in Salem, Arkansas.
