Mona Ann Brown, 76, of West Plains, Missouri, passed away, Saturday, June 6, 2020 at Brookhaven Nursing & Rehabilitation in West Plains.
She was born in Mountain Grove, Missouri on September 17, 1943, daughter of the late James Floyd and Jewell (Farel) McConnell. Mona spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She was united in marriage to Billy Gene Brown on October 1, 1987 in Bakersfield, Missouri. During her working years, Mona worked as a Registered Nurse. Mona was a member of The Bridges Baptist Church.
Mona is survived by her husband, Billy Brown of West Plains, Missouri; sons, Jimmy Fetters and wife Bridgette of Oklahoma and Phillip Fetters and wife Chanda of Arkansas; daughters, Patti Walker of Arkansas and Myra Dinger and husband Steve of Kansas; step-sons, Jeff Brown and wife Laurie of Texas and Steve Brown and wife Nicole of Texas; 13 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren and brother Clyde McConnell of Illinois.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Bill Fetters; parents, James and Jewell McConnell and brothers, Mike McConnell and John McConnell.
Memorial services will be Saturday, June 13, 2020 beginning at 1:00 PM at the Old Baptist Hill Church, now known as Bridges Creek Missionary Baptist Church, south of Elijah, Missouri on State Highway V.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Baptist Hill Cemetery, c/o Century Bank, PO Box 68, Gainesville, Missouri 65655.
