Moore Hartin, Treva Christine

October 18, 1922 - April 21, 2014

Treva Christine Moore Hartin, age 91, passed away April 21, 2014 at Shiloh Nursing & Rehab Center, Springdale, AR. She was born October 18, 1922 at Byron, AR, the daughter of Ransom Harrison Moore and Carrie Bernice (Birdsong) Moore. She was a graduate of Viola High School in 1941.

She married Randel Hartin on January 7, 1942 at Viola, AR, and they had two sons. She and Randel spent their entire married lives at Mitchell where Treva was a homemaker, postmaster for eight years and storekeeper at the family general store there for about 30 years. Treva spent most of her adult life taking care of those in her family. She gave of herself immeasurable love and grace. She always enjoyed singing the old country and Gospel songs with her family and friends. She and Randel were faithful attenders at the Mitchell Assembly of God Church for many years. The family extends their gratitude to the owners and staff of Homestyle Assisted Living in Springdale for their loving care these past 4 1/2 years.

She is survived by her son, George Hartin and wife Norma of Springdale; grandson Chris Hartin and wife Traci of Prairie Grove; granddaughter Leslie Sheridan and husband Jason of Rogers; great grandchildren Bradley, Mattie and Taylor Hartin and Emma Sheridan; a sister, Marie Smith of Horseshoe Bend, and 22 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 2003; son Richard Hartin in 1975; her parents and siblings Elsie Kerley, Otis Moore, Tommy Moore, Pauline Williams, Parmer Moore and three infants.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, April 24th at the Mitchell Assembly of God Church with Sister Maxing Witt officiating. Visitation will be at the Church from 1 pm until service time. Burial will follow at the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery under the direction of Cox-Blevins Funeral Home of Salem. Memorials may be made to either the Mitchell Assembly of God Church or the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery Association. Pallbearers are Ralph Moore, Leroy Moore, Danny Moore, Joe Moore, James Kerley and Ronnie Smith. Honorary Pallbearers are Carmon Sanders, J.L. Smith, Don Morgan, Bealer Sanders, Greg Price, Donnie Webb, James Hutson and Dale Williams. Please sign the guest book for the family.
