Peterson, Roy "Kenny"

April 4, 1929 - November 28, 2013

Roy "Kenny" Peterson, of Moko, son of the late Vester Peterson and Minnie Carter Peterson was born April 4, 1929 in Sturkie, AR. He died November 28, 2013 at Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains, Missouri at the age of 84 years 7 months and 24 days.

He was a farmer and a member of the Freewill Baptist Church. He loved country music and he loved his family.

Survivors include his sister Wanda Holloway and husband Rayburn of Moko; several nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; great-great nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by seven brothers: Truman, Earl, Oscar, Thurman, Dale, Norman, and Boyd; two sisters: Marie Peterson and Maxine Robinson and his father and mother.

Pallbearers are, Nelson Bassham, Bob Bassham, Boyce Bassham, Roger Kinder, Andy Collins, and Nick Perry.

Services are Monday, December 2, 2013 at 2 pm at Cox-Blevins Chapel with burial to follow in Stateline Cemetery, under the direction of Cox-Blevins Funeral Home of Salem. Visitation is Sunday from 6 to 8 pm at Cox-Blevins Chapel. Please take a moment to sign the guest book for the family.
