Richard C. Morgan

Richard C. Morgan, 63, of Salem, Arkansas, departed this life on Monday, July 17, 2023, in Mountain Home, Arkansas, and is now free of the suffering and struggles of the latter part of his life.

He was born on December 31, 1959, in Salem, Arkansas, third and youngest child to the late Ralph and Lavinia Morgan. Richard was of the Catholic faith and served as an alter boy in his youth. He worked in various jobs after attending Northeast High School in Kansas City, Missouri. Richard had to retire at an early age due to his failing health and returned to Salem, Arkansas, in the early 2000’s. Upon his return to Salem, Richard met his special companion, Linda Massey. Richard loved sports, especially the Kansas City Royals and Kansas City Chiefs. He also enjoyed college basketball, particularly the Kansas Jayhawks. Richard loved being outside and fishing when he was able.

Richard is survived by his special companion, Linda Massey of Salem, Arkansas; nephews, John Bartlett and Keven Bartlett both of the Kansas City area; niece, Lavinia Ford of Kansas City, Missouri; brother-in-law, Gary Young of Sturkie, Arkansas and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Melinda Bartlett and Mary Selene Young and nephew, Kenny Wayne Bartlett.
