Steven Alan Herron, son of the late Kenneth O. Herron and Evelyn Marie Wilkinson Herron- Smith, was born July 31,1951 in Tucson, Arizona. He departed this life on December 17, 2024, at the age of 73 years and 139 days. Steve was a 1969 graduate of Rincon High School. He was united in marriage to Carol Sons on January 10, 1975, and together they raised three children. While he spent most of his career in mechanics and computer networking, his biggest passion was his family, his Church, and Cookson Hills Children’s Home. He also loved anything outdoors (hunting, woodworking, fishing, gardening, tractoring/dozing). Steve was well known for his child like spirit, bringing smiles to the faces of all that he met, but he was most renowned for his servant heart. Steve spent many years bettering communities around him by serving as deacon, elder and Sunday School teacher at various churches throughout his life, serving as a board member of the Morriston Fire Department, and for helping youth in need at Cookson Hills.
