Timothy Steve Carroll Dotson

Timothy Steve Carroll Dotson, 66, of Poughkeepsie, Arkansas, departed this life on Friday, November 3, 2023, at his home after a long lung illness.

He was born on February 24, 1957, in Santa Paula, California, to Glenn L. Dotson and Bessie L. Perry Dotson. Steve was of the Baptist faith. He spent his working years as a farmer. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. Steve was a wonderful cook. He was a pet lover and owner of his special dog Pixi.

Steve is survived by his wife, Doris Mashburn Dotson of Poughkeepsie, Ark., son Timothy Dotson, Jr. and wife Sharon of Poughkeepsie, Ark., two stepsons Steven Mashburn of Salt Lake City, Utah and Robbie Mashburn of Cave City, Ark., four grandchildren Morgan Dotson O’Brien and husband Cody of Smithville, Ark., Jackie Lee Dotson of Poughkeepsie, Ark., Haylie Burton and Lucas Burton both of Mt. Vernon, Ind., six step grandchildren, brother Dr. Laurence Dotson and wife Gail of Anaheim Hills, Calif., sisters Kathryn Dotson Richmond and husband Larry of Mammoth Spring, Ark., Teresa Dotson Pickett and husband Jackie of Poughkeepsie, Ark. plus several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Stephanie L. Dotson Burton, t­­wo brothers Samuel Dotson and Glenn Dotson, Jr. and sister Patricia Dotson Groves.

Pallbearers: Michael Dotson, Matthew Dotson, Cody O’Brien, Charlie Martin, Jim Pagan and Jackie Pickett.

Visitation will be Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at Pleasant Ridge Church near Sitka, Ark., from 5-7 p.m. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at Pleasant Ridge Church near Sitka, Ark. beginning at 2 p.m. with Bro. Jackie Pickett and Bro. Jim Pagan officiating. Burial will follow the service at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery adjacent to the Church.
