William Newton Haynes

William Newton Haynes, 77, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away Monday, June 3, 2019, at his home in Mountain Home.

He was born in Elizabeth, Arkansas on April 15, 1942, son of the late Jasper and Clara (Zimmer) Haynes. William spent his life as a loving father with his son, brother, family and friends. During his working years he worked at the Eaton Corporation in Mountain Home. William enjoyed hunting especially deer. He mowed and kept the Elizabeth Cemetery looking good for many years.

William is survived by his son, Scott Haynes of Mountain Home, Arkansas; granddaughter, Krishana Haynes of Jonesboro, Arkansas; brother, Max Haynes of Mountain Home, Arkansas and sisters, Betty Kellum of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Lillie Roberts of Archie, Missouri and Emma Skiba of West Plains, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jasper and Clara Haynes; sister, Mary Chapman and brothers, Gorman Haynes, Adron Haynes and Ray Haynes.

Funeral services will be Thursday, June 6, 2019 beginning at 2:00 PM with Bro. John Hodges officiating at Doty Family Funeral Service Chapel in Salem, Arkansas. Interment will follow at Elizabeth Cemetery in Elizabeth, Arkansas. Visitation will be prior to funeral service beginning at 10:00 AM.
