William Henry Sims

William Henry Sims, 85, of Viola, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2024 in Viola. 

He was born in Batesville, Arkansas on May 18, 1939, son of Jake and Elsie (Walden) Sims. Henry was an avid outdoorsman and over his lifetime he enjoyed farming, gardening, fishing, camping, traveling, and working on old cars. He loved his family very much and enjoyed the times he had with them. 

Henry is survived by his long time partner of 15 years, Bev O'Neal of Viola; daughters, Tina McCormick (Danny) of Senath, Missouri and Tammy Fleeman (Jonathan) of Leachville, Arkansas; 6 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; brother, Don Sims of Monette, Arkansas; and sisters, Sally McQuay (Paul) of Pocahontas, Arkansas and Ruth Tucker of Festus, Missouri. He also left behind many nieces, nephews, and good friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother J.R. Sims; and sisters Ann Rush and Jane Woods. 

Graveside services will be held at 11:00am Saturday, September 7, 2024 at Monette Cemetery in Monette, Arkansas.
